| Following a two and a half year stint as fashion assistant at Dazed and Confused from 1997, working with Katie Grand, Simon Robins and Cathy Edwards, Aleksandra went on to acquire Vogue experience with Tiina Laakonen and George Cortina. Seeking further creativity she met animator Jan Svankmajer in Prague and worked with Russell Sage in London where she met stylist Camille Bidault Waddington. Sharing her passion for colour and kookiness, Aleksandra assisted Camille whilst studying | womenswear design on the prestigious MA at Central St. Martins. Following the MA, where Aleksandra honed her idiosyncratic approach, she went to work as design assistant to Susanne Deeken as well as designing her own line of unique pieces and illustrations for editorial, exhibitions and clients. Her eastern European heritage continues to inform her work. |
